This was a social art project we made at art academy. I explored internet commentaries in the light of gender studies. I used news portal Delfi in order to collect gender-related comments. People call Delfi portal "the toilet wall". Thus I wrote the comments on the toilet walls. Comments written by men to women went to women's toilet wall and were written with blue marker. Comments written by women to men went to men's toilet and were written with red marker. The work process was quite slow and painstacking because I had to wash the wall beforehand and install the missing bulb in the men's loo. Then I wrote a comment on each square. The show took place next day. However, when I arrived next morning, I was struck by the sight I saw: the cleaner had washed my text off the both toilet's wall! I had the time to fill only one toilet with the text before the show. Afterwards I wrote a note on the toilets wall: please don't remove texts from the wall, it is an art! Here we have got misunderstanding about nature of contemporary art.
